SRC can provide an analysis of connection records in order to chart the patterns of connections and demonstrate connection behaviour and associations in cases. This includes analysing the evidence to determine if it is possible to state if certain calls were answered by the recipient telephone or were forwarded to other devices/services. It may also be used in combination with cell site analysis to provide a more comprehensive analysis of the movements and connection behaviour of telephones in your case.
Where connection records have not been obtained, SRC can provide you with advice about what information may be available and how you may be able to obtain it.
Sam uses a technique she first presented to the MTEB Conference UK in November 2009 involving combining evidence on mobile telephone handsets with the evidence in the connection records. This technique can provide a more comprehesive connection chart as well as potentially determine the time accuracy of mobile telephone handset evidence in a case.
Sam also teaches connection charting and the evaluation of mobile and connection record evidence in her training course Investigating Connection Records and Cell Site Analysis.
